90 + Virginia Counties, Municipalities Declared 2A Sanctuaries

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) This week in Rockingham County more than three thousand people turned out for a board of supervisors meeting in a high school gym.

And the story was the same in Chesapeake, where a large crowd gathered outside as city council considered, and passed, a resolution declaring Chesapeake a Second Amendment Constitutional City.

More than 90 governing bodies in Virginia have now taken similar votes. Virginia Citizens Defense League President Philip Van Cleave says it's unlike anything he's ever seen in his years of advocacy.

"It's like the difference between driving a car and being in a rocket ship," Van cleave told WDBJ7 in a telephone interview Friday afternoon.
