Americans are in a frantic rush to buy military gear before the election. What does that tell you?

Orders and purchases of military-style gear are on the rise the closer we get to the upcoming general election. Observations and anecdotal evidence abound, but a general feeling of unrest seems to be at the root of most theories.

Some monitoring the trend believe that regardless of who wins the presidential election, there will be some type of chaos in the streets perpetrated by supporters of the losing side.

And they may have a point.  Look at such places as New York, Seattle, Portland, Chicago and others that have seen mass violence, protests and riots after the May death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis.  Those same people who participated in the chaos in those cities would most likely be the same who would be angry if President Trump wins re-election.
