Colorado Follows New Mexico "sanctuary cities" for 2nd Amendment

Democrat lawmakers are pushing a red flag law to empower police to seize firearms from Colorado residents.

KRDO reports that the red flag legislation is headed for the Colorado House floor for a vote where it is expected to pass.

Custer and Freemont Counties have both declared themselves “Second Amendment Sanctuaries” to signal that sheriffs are not obligated to enforce the gun control. Moreover, the Greeley Tribune reports that Weld County Commissioners have been asked to declare sanctuary status for their county as well.

Montezuma County is considering “Second Amendment Sanctuary” status too.

On March 2, 2019, Breitbart News reported that 21 of 33 New Mexico have declared themselves “Second Amendment Sanctuary” counties against the current gun control push in their state. New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and her fellow Democrats are pushing a red flag law, universal background checks, and an expanded prohibited persons list for firearm purchases.
