Gun-controlled Chicago: 3 cops shot last week, one this week, with shootings of police outpacing 2020 already

Update:  Since this article was written, a fourth police officer has been shot within the span of two weeks in Chicago.

CHICAGO, IL -A Chicago police officer has been shot in the hand in the line of duty, bringing the total of Chicago cops shot last week to three, and the total of Chicago cops shot or shot at to 16 this year so far.

According to the Chicago Tribune, on Saturday, March 20, Austin District officers responded to a report of possible gunshots in the area near Maypole and La Crosse Avenues in the Austin community.

As responding officers attempted to find the shooter, shots were fired at them, and one officer was hit in the hand by gunfire.
