Restricting gun ownership leads to increased crime: Letter

“Electron-spin-resonance transistors for quantum computing in silicon-germanium heterostructures” should not be discussed by those who do not understand the subject.

Likewise, those who do not understand the science of ”more guns, less crime” should not discuss gun control.

A prime example of our politician’s ignorance of the subject matter can be seen in the recently passed “bump stock” legislation. Most trees in the woods can supply a limb that can be used with a conventional gun stock to act as a “bump stock.”  

If our politicians are as ignorant of the things I know little about as they are about a topic I have been closely following for more than 50 years, we face hard times ahead. 

Medicare is an example. I know little about health insurance and less about health care (which I do know are two different subjects, even though the politicians try to intermix them).
