CHICAGO -- Thirty-one people were shot and five killed in Chicago weekend gun violence. A man was wounded in a shooting Sunday in West Garfield Park.
Someone fired shots about 9:25 p.m. as the 19-year-old rode in a vehicle in the 4300-block of West Madison Street, Chicago police said. The man showed up at Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, and was listed in good condition.
The man told officers he did not see the shooter or know where the shots came from, police said. Area Four detectives are investigating.
A 31-year-old man was shot Sunday morning in Lincoln Park on the North Side.
