Watch: Detroit 2A Hero Trains Hundreds Of Women With Free Gun Class

This isn’t just a good news story, it’s a great news story, and I’m thrilled that Rick Ector is telling it on today’s Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co. I’ve known Rick for a long time, and he’s a tireless defender of the right to keep and bear arms as well as a great ambassador for our Second Amendment rights.

For the past nine years he’s put on a free gun safety training class for women in the Detroit area, typically over Mother’s Day weekend, and each and every year the event has grown bigger than the last.

For a while, though, it looked like this year’s event was in trouble. Thanks to Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s stay-at-home orders, it was going to be difficult to host a lot of people without running afoul of the coronavirus regulations. Reluctantly, Rick was forced to postpone the Mother’s Day training course in the hopes of rescheduling later this year.
