Mayor Lightfoot’s gun-controlled Chicago: 39 shot, 4 killed, with 15 victims injured in single shooting incident

CHICAGO, IL – The city of Chicago endured a violent weekend between the evening of March 12th and the early morning hours of March 15th – with 39 people having been shot across the city, 4 of which died from their sustained injuries. 

One shooting incident in particular resulted in 15 people being shot, and 2 dying. 

One of the most detrimental shooting incidents within Chicago over the weekend occurred at approximately 4:40 a.m. on March 14th within the 6700 block of South South Chicago Avenue. 

Police say that some sort physical altercation took place at a party, which then escalated into gunfire. Officials say that 15 people were shot during the incident, with the victims’ ages ranging from 20 to 44 years old.
