The Fremont County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to adopt a resolution making their county the 33rd county in Iowa to become a Second Amendment Sanctuary. Now one-third of Iowa’s 99 counties are Second Amendment Sanctuaries.
Fremont County is the fourth county in the last three weeks to adopt a resolution.
“In only a matter of months, one-third of Iowa’s counties have stood up and said ‘our rights are not up for negotiation’,” Dave Funk, president of the Iowa Firearms Coalition, said.
“This is a historic day for the state of Iowa and it’s citizens and we look forward to the day when we can say the entire Hawkeye State is a Second Amendment Sanctuary.”
