This past weekend, gunmen riding in a truck in the Mexican state of Jalisco shot up a party, which resulted in the deaths of 11 people, according to Mexican authorities.
In a statement, prosecutors revealed that police discovered the bodies of 10 men, filled with bullets, on the sidewalk right in front of a home in Tonald, a municipality in the Guadalajara metropolitan area.
Inside of the home, the body of a boy was found, while another boy and a woman received treatment at a local hospital.
For those unaware, Jalisco is one of the most economically prominent states in Mexico. In addition, it’s one of the main hubs of drug cartel violence given how it’s the de facto headquarters of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
