Police: Woman killed after attempting to assassinate deputy by pointing gun at his head, pulling the trigger

ANNISTON, AL – A Wilsonville, Alabama woman is dead after trying to shoot a deputy during an early morning traffic stop.

Brittany Nicole Yoder and Timothy Alan Wood, both of Wilsonville, Alabama, were traveling near Ohatchee, between Gadsden and Anniston, and were stopped by a Calhoun County sheriff’s deputy. 

During the traffic stop initiated at 3:32 a.m., both people were arrested after a large amount of methamphetamines and a pistol were discovered in the vehicle.

After the two were in custody and in the back of the patrol vehicle, the deputy was waiting for a tow truck to pick up the suspect’s car.
